A planning public inquiry to determine the future of some of the buildings that together make up the grandest parade of market buildings in the country took place earlier this year. The inspector is now preparing his report and recommendation(s) for submission to the Secretary of State for his consideration. We understand the decision notice will be issued on or before 12th August 2014.
If the decision to grant planning consent to Henderson Global Investors Ltd is upheld, work to demolish large parts of the market and replace them with an office-led scheme can commence and valuable heritage buildings will be lost to London, and to Londoners, forever.
Please join us in the campaign to persuade the Secretary of State to make the ‘right’ decision for London. Sign up to support our campaign by clicking the link at the top of the page.
